CHALLENGE 21
What is Challenge 21?
Challenge 21 is for anyone, anywhere, to take on any challenge and raise funds to support sick kids who are cared for by our Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Our Hospital is there for us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Let’s show them how much we care! Join us in Challenge 21.
We want you to take on a challenge. You could do a physical challenge like run 21km or do 21 days of yoga, change a habit for 21 days, or get creative and come up with your own challenge.
We want to see our whole community take on a challenge between September 19 and October 9, either as an individual or as a team. With the continued support of people just like you, together we help provide the greatest care for sick children and their families.
FUNDRAISING
How do I share my fundraising page on Facebook?
Sharing your Challenge 21 fundraiser on Facebook is a great way to spread the word to more people! It’s easy too.
When you log into your Facebook account, you should see a box that asks “What’s on your mind?”. Simply copy the website link (or ‘URL’) that we sent in your registration email and paste it into this box. Write a message in front of the link. This could be: “I'm taking on Challenge 21 to support sick kids. Sponsor me by clicking this link to my fundraising page.” Then click ‘post’.
Do I have to fundraise?
Registration is FREE for Challenge 21 so we would love it if you gave fundraising your best shot and shared your challenge with your friends, family and colleagues to support sick kids - click here for more information on the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation impact.
Can I use Facebook to raise funds for Challenge 21?
Whilst Facebook is a great way to share the fundraising link we give you, we suggest you do not create a separate Facebook fundraiser. If you raise money using separate Facebook fundraiser, it doesn’t count towards your Challenge 21 fundraising target and could mean that you miss out on some excting prizes. We suggest you share your personalised Challenge 21 fundraising page on your social platforms to encourages friends, family and colleagues to support your fundraising.
How do I get a receipt for my donation?
All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. When a donation has been made to a Challenge 21 participant or team a receipt will be automatically sent out by Funraisin to the email address that the donation was made under. If you have any issues receiving a receipt please email community@wchfoundation.org.au with the name the donation was made under, the amount and the date.
How do I sponsor a friend?
If you have the fundraising page link of the person you would like to support, simply click on the ‘Donate’ button below their profile picture and follow the steps to make your donation.
If you do not have their fundraising page link, you can search for a fundraiser by name, using our search bar function on the website.

FITNESS ACTIVITY
How do I track my walking/running?
Any GPS enabled devices like fitness wristbands or watches will do the trick. We have linked up with Strava and Fitbit to automatically sync with your fundraising page and add to your kilometres each time you record an activity.
If you’re not already connected with these devices, you can always use your phone and download Strava or Fitbit to get started.
Once installed and your account has been created with your preferred app, login to your Challenge 21 profile page and head to the 'My Fitness Activity' tab. Here you can now connect up to your preferred fitness app. Click on the icon of the app you'd like to connect - this will ask you to login and authorise us to access your fitness account.
Now, when you are using your fitness app, remember to create a new activity through your app and stop when you're finished each time - this will ensure your km's are recorded onto your Challenge 21 page.
You can also manually add an activity through the 'My Fitness Activity' tab.
