Cycle 4 Sam Ride across the Nullarbor

By Pierre Ranieri

I’m cycling 1200km across the Nullarbor, from Norseman in WA to Ceduna in SA, to support Cycle 4 Sam.

In 2023, by chance,  I met Sam’s parents, Marty and Michelle Roberts on top of Alpe d’ Huez in France. We had just climbed one of the toughest and most famous cycling climbs in France. They were wearing their Cycle 4 Sam cycling jerseys. We exchanged details and I’ve been following them and Cycle 4 Sam ever since. Their story, and the story of Sam, is so inspiring.

Cycle 4 Sam proudly supports families in South Australia who have children with rare, life limiting illnesses. Sam sadly passed away before his 5th birthday on April 19, 2004 from a rare disease called Niemann-Pick Type C.

My epic 1200km ride across the Nullarbor is in honour of Sam and all the children and families that Cycle 4 Sam supports.

Your support is much appreciated.

Merci!
